Domènech is the eleventh goalkeeper of the first team with the most official matches (122) in the Club’s history and stands out for his crucial role in winning the 2019 Copa del Rey and reaching the Copa del Rey final in 2022. In addition, he has been one of the team’s captains, one of the most beloved players in the squad, and an example for the young talents at the VCF Academy.

Jaume Domènech announced his retirement as a footballer on the morning of Monday, September 8, 2025, with an emotional video sharing very special words dedicated to the club of his life: Valencia CF.
“Many thanks to all the coaches, teammates, and every employee… being Valencian and playing for Valencia CF is the most beautiful thing there is, and if you add to that having won a title, you can only feel fortunate. But I would like to leave a legacy for the kids who dream today as I once did. I was born in Almenara and fulfilled my dream of playing for Valencia CF. Wherever you come from, you can achieve it too. Never give up; passion and dedication will take you to the top in any area of life. Thank you, Valencia Club de Fútbol, and Amunt sempre!”
Career at Valencia CF
In the summer of 2013, Jaume Domènech arrived at the Ciudad Deportiva in Paterna to defend the goal of VCF Mestalla. His performance and professionalism led him to make his debut with the first team on September 12, 2015, at El Molinón. Since then, it has been 10 years of much sentiment, courage, and brotherhood, reflecting that ADN VCF which so strongly defines Valencianismo and its players.
